Investment in medical & aerospace manufacturing machine

and green solutions

OLSTRAL HPT SRL, with the support of a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms 2014-2021, in the frame of the Programme “SMEs Growth Romania”, the Investment in medical & aerospace manufacturing machine and green solutions project, as per the 2020/548170 contract.

The project aims at further develop the capability of the company to produce and deliver innovative parts (ultra-high accuracy parts ) for aerospace and medical industry. The purpose of the project is to have a mix between investment in manufacturing machines and "green" solutions.

In the investment project proposed, OLSTRAL HPT wants to acquire advanced equipment for the production of components for the aerospace and medical market (dental, orthopedic).

About OLSTRAL

OLSTRAL HTP SRL was established in 1993. The company was specialized mainly in trading activities. Since the management was taken over by Raul Olesch, the company starting offering complex solutions for the high precision markets. The long term vision is to develop OLSTRAL, as one of the leading Romanian manufacturing companies, for high tech parts and a strong promoter for energy saving solutions, and green investments. Romania, has at the moment no similar company. OLSTRAL is a company with extensive experience in supplying technical goods for the metal processing industry.

OLSTRAL is certified with AS9100, that is a global recognized certification, to be allowed to produce parts for aerospace industry. It is mandatory to have this accreditation, to be allowed to supply parts for this industry.

For the submitted project, the company specialists have undertaken various activities in addressing the need in aerospace and medical sector by carrying out the market analysis for identifying the target market, identifying of equipment needs, identifying the size of the targeted market, identifying reduction of pollution by reducing CO2 in the atmosphere and other emissions and making estimates for green energy production within the company.

The aim of the project

The project will be implemented in Brasov County and shall be implemented by 31 March 2022 having a total value of EUR 1,361,214, out of which EUR 800.000 non-refundable grant.  

This partnership is possible through the bilateral relationships between Norway and Romania, promoted by the financing program.

The outcomes are:      

• 35% estimated growth in turnover in 2022 compared to 2019
• Estimated annual growth in net operational profit (EBIT) with 650% (around 462,000 Euro) in 2022 compared to baseline 2019
• Estimated annual decrease of CO2 emissions from 111,54 tons of CO2 (2019) to 83,11 tones of CO2 (2022)
• 12 new job will be created through the project.

The outputs are:

• 1 innovative technology commercialized
• 1 measure implemented to decrease CO2 emissions (the equipment to be purchased through the project contributes to the reduction of CO2)
• 1 measure implemented to increase energy efficiency (the equipment to be purchased through project are energy efficient).
